無印はキャラクター成長システムに不満がある為、このソフトも一緒に買いました。
買わざるを得なかったというべきか…。

短所は
各キャラの衣装チェンジが面倒になったことです。
本体ソフトならストーリーモードクリアで出来たのに、猛将伝では
石高を消費しなければなりません。

この星の数は、この価格での評価です。ベスト版でなければ星二つでしょうか。

過去に友達から「戦国無双」を借りて面白かったのでお店に行ったところ猛将伝の方が安かったので買いました。
正直猛将伝のみではボリューム的にもゲームクリアのためにも不便あったので、結局無印買うこになりました。
このタイトル初めて手に取る人は注意が必要です。
やり込む為には無印は必須です。

内容的にはけっこう満足です。
無印に比べて新たに追加された４人の武将のストーリー等がけっこうしっかり作られててグッドでした。
ただ処理落ちが意外と多いです。
無印で問題のあったシステムも結構改善（最強武器取得の難易度低下が可能になった等）されているみたいで遊びやすいです。

これの元ソフトとは打って変わり、かなり遊びやすく再調整がいたるところでなされており、非常に好感がもてた。
今作では４人の武将が追加されて単品ではそれほどやり込めないが、本編とミックスジョイすると、かなりやり込めます（基本的に本編の内容が猛将伝バージョンで遊べるようになるので、本編はあえてキーディスク的な物と考えて常に猛将伝をやる際にミックスジョイすることをお勧めします）

ちなみに追加された武将は本田忠勝・はしば秀吉・稲姫・今川義元です、このうち今川さんと秀吉さんは本編にてすでに登場はしていましたが、ＣＰＵ専用キャラでプレイヤーは使えませんでした。

難易度も易しいよりさらに易しい天国というものが追加され、この難易度でやると敵武将が簡単に倒せる倒せる・・・しかし味方武将も天国級に弱くなり始まって３０秒もしないうちに味方がどんどん敗走していき、気がついたら自分だけピンピンしていて仲間が皆やられているなんてこともしばしば。

結論としては本編よりかは断然面白いので本編が好きだけど、今一クリアできなくて投げ出している人などにはお勧めできる作品だと思います。
