MBS/TBS系全国ネット「世界ウルルン滞在記~ルネサンス~」主題歌「一期一会」、エンディングテーマ「昔から雨が降ってくる」、TOKIO提供曲「本日、未熟者」を含む全11曲収録。

アーティストについて

'75年「アザミ嬢のララバイ」でデビュー。同年、世界歌謡祭「時代」でグランプリを受賞。'76年アルバム「私の声が聞こえますか」をリリース。現在までにオリジナル・アルバム34作品をリリース。アルバム、ビデオ、コンサート、夜会、ラジオパーソナリティ、TV・映画のテーマソング、楽曲提供、小説・詩集・エッセイなどの執筆と幅広く活動。日本において、70年代、80年代、90年代、2000年代と4つの世代(decade)で、チャート1位に輝いたアーティストは、中島みゆき、ただ一人である。

シングル２曲は優しい歌ですが、アルバム自体は男以上に男らしいメッセージ色の濃い内容になってます。
サウンドが派手、ビジュアルが派手、そんな小手先のロックとは明らかに異なる、
品格や真摯、熟練が備わった大人のロックと呼びたくなります。
いつから彼女は「暗い」から「強い」イメージに変わったのだろう。
そんなことを考えながら、こんな風にしぶとくありたいと憧れてみたり、惚れ惚れしたり（笑）。

見てくれでもない、腕力でもない、本質的なタフさを求める人に聴いてほしい１枚。

社会の中で惑う者へのアルバムといった印象です。

組織と自分、他人と家族、本音と建前、世界と日本、
様々な対比の中で、たくさんの不条理が存在し、それを否定することなく、
それでも自分の本心はどこにあるのか？愛を注ぐ対象は何なのか？を問いかける。

夢はきっと叶う、頑張れば報われる、そんな気休め歌詞は一切ないのに、
彼女の見つめる眼差しは希望に満ちているよう。

前作ララバイSINGERが夜の歌なら、
今作は昼の歌、今この時を生き抜くための応援歌なのかもしれません。

中島みゆきのメッセージは時に辛らつで、時にやさしく包み込むような暖かさをもつ。
今回のアルバム「I Love You, 答えてくれ」の中にもそんなメッセージが沢山あった。
中でも、「Nobody Is Right」は大げさかもしれないけれど、世界に向けたメッセージだと思う。
特に二番目の歌詞の中の
「争う人は正しさを説く、正しさゆえの争いを説く。その正しさは気分がいいか、正しさの勝利が気分いいんじゃないかな」は、はっとさせられる。

アルバム全体に通った骨太な（男らしい？）歌い方と歌詞、曲タイトル。アルバムジャケットタイトル文字も骨太でどーんと太い芯が通った一枚。
この芯がある限り中島みゆきは「中島みゆき」なんだな。
