ビバリーヒルズに豪邸を建ててから安定したセールスは記録するが、肝を抜く作品は創られていない。

ザックも肥りだしてから向上心が無く、ここでも無難なリフやソロが延々と続く。

ボートラが一番の良い出来とは恐れいった。駄作ではないが、ここは一発若い新人ギタリストの発掘に時間をかけて見つけて欲しかった。オールドプレイヤーの新譜、ことメタル系に限っては平均ライン以下の出来でも何故か拍手で迎えいれられる。
過去の名声があるからだ、日本の演歌とよく似ている。


富と名声は創造性を蝕む、オジーが本当の意味での復活を望んでいるのなら安定には走らず、冒険してほしい。

聞き込むほど味が出る作品だと思います。
３曲目「Black Rain」、１０曲目「Trap Door」など、
曲の終盤にがらりと曲調が変わる(スラッシュ・メタル的な高速リフが展開される)楽曲もあり、
よく練り込まれたアルバムだと思います。

毎回思うのですが、日本盤ボーナストラックの質が良く、
特に１２曲目の「Nightmare」は、曲のキャッチーさ、ザックのソロ共に
アルバム全体の中で１番際立っていると思います。

これから購入を考えている方は、是非日本盤を検討してみて下さい。

オジー・オズボーンが還暦前に出した記念すべき9作目のオリジナルアルバム。

このアルバムは『No More Tears』以来のザック・ワイルド全面協力での供作になっており、歌詞、楽曲ともに最高の出来になっていると思います。

歌詞の内容としては、核兵器、ドラッグ、死など、重いテーマの物が多いですが、楽曲は先行シングルの#2や#6、#10のようにキャッチーな曲もあるので、今までオジーの作品を聴いたことの無い人でもすんなり入っていけると思います。

オジー・オズボーンも今年で60歳!
あと何年音楽活動ができるかわかりませんが、またこのような大作を作ってくれる事を期待してます!
