とりあえず、このBOXに収録されている第104話で2期目は完結です。2期の終盤は1期以上にびっくりな展開で楽しめます。エドの因縁である「究極のD」のカードによって人が死んだりしますが、遊戯王ではよくあることです。いちいち気にして突っ込んだら負けですよ。
第102〜104話は十代VS斎王。ネオスが完全にウルトラマンと化していたり、剣山が恐竜になって宇宙に飛んでいく展開は笑わずにはいられませんでした。マリクには及ばないものの、斎王（ていうか破滅の光）の顔芸も必見。地球の命運をかけたデュエルをしている一方で、呑気にジェネックスが行われているという、温度差の激しい場面も一見の価値ありです。

本筋の他にもいろいろ（ヘルカイザーの誕生とか三沢の空気化とか）あった2期目も終わり、第105話からは「鬱期」とも呼ばれる3期目がスタートします。個人的にはそこまで暗いとは思えませんでしたけど、今までの明るい雰囲気が好きだった人からすれば、微妙なシリーズかもしれません。
