   ヴィクトル・ユゴーの『レ・ミゼラブル』を原作に、ヒロインの少女コゼット（名塚佳織）に焦点を当てたTVアニメーション『世界名作劇場』シリーズのDVD第2弾。第5話「ジャヴェールの疑惑」第6話「コゼットの誕生日」第7話「迷子のエボニーヌ」第8話「お母さんのスカート」の4話収録。前巻に引き続き、ここでも悪徳夫婦の使用人として働かされるコゼットと、その母ファンティーヌ（萩原えみこ）の悲しみが描かれていく。特に第8話で堕ちていく母の過酷な運命は、ファミリー向けとして原作よりも抑えた設定が施されているものの、それでも観ていてつらい。しかし、ここを通過しないとドラマは展開していかないので、ぐっと我慢するしかないわけではあるが、いつも前向きなコゼットの姿や、毎回オープニングとエンディングの透明感あふれる斉藤由貴の歌、そして次回予告の明るい掛け合いにはほっとさせられるものもある。作品のクオリティは高いし、もう少しの辛抱だ。（増當竜也）

第２巻は５〜８話ですね。
今回はちょっと中継ぎ的内容ですね。

マドレーヌさんがジャン・ヴァルジャンなのではないかと疑い始める
ジャヴェール。ジャヴェールは憎たらしいけど「超」がつくほどまじめなだけで
悪いヤツじゃないと思う。いつかジャンの事を理解し、世の中の悪い仕組みに
気付いて良いおまわりさんになってくれると思う。

さて、コゼットのお母さんであるファンティーヌですが…
ますますエンジンがかかってきましたよ！
ちょっと子供に対して異常な程の愛情で、現実が見えていません。
ですから騙されもしますし、妄想も激しいです。
第３巻で大変なことになりますが、普通の親がここまでやるか？
なんでこんなになっちゃったのかファンティーヌの過去が気になります。
(おとうさんの説明がなかったんだよなぁ…)

エポニーヌもコゼットと出合った時はかわいい女の子だったのにさ
意地の悪いお母さんがコゼットをいじめるから
こんなひねくれた子供になっちゃったんだよな。

ジャヴェールの人生論は「人の本質は決して変わらない」っていう
考えなんだけど、人って変わるんだよね。良くも悪くも。

みんなが幸せになってくれるといいな。

『レ･ミゼラブル 少女コゼット』第5〜8話を収録したDVD2巻です｡
復活した｢世界名作劇場｣第24作にあたるのが本作｡
人間の心の闇と信念の姿を強烈に描き､その本質を問う人間ドラマです｡

第5話｢ジャベールの疑惑｣★★☆☆☆
　馬車の下からファーシュルヴァンを救出したマドレーヌにジャヴェール警部が
　疑念を抱き始めます｡彼の厳格さは冷徹で強靭すぎてあまりに人間味が
　失われている危うさすら感じさせられます｡そして､不遇な環境にも負けない
　コゼットとファンティーヌに影が徐々にせまり･･･｡

第6話｢コゼットの誕生日｣★★★☆☆
　小さな嘘をきっかけに女工仲間達の嫌がらせがファンテーヌを苦しめます｡
　上辺しか見ない人間の思慮の無さはなんとも嘆かわしいものです｡
　ジェベールの執拗な追求も強調され緊張感は続きますが､
　最後の最後でほんの小さな優しさで物語を締めているのが安心感を覚えますね｡

第7話｢迷子のエポニーヌ｣★★☆☆☆
　パリ帰りのお客とコゼットの意気投合ぶりに嫉妬し､
　エポニーヌが一人憧れのパリに旅立とうとするお話です｡
　平たく言えば､｢井の中の蛙 大海を知らず｣｡
　自分自身の力の無さを知らないお子様エポニーヌがなんだか可愛らしいです｡

第8話｢お母さんのスカート｣★★★★☆
　職を失ったファンティーヌが生活苦に陥り､
　心身ともに限界まで堕ちていく非情の物語です｡
　娘･コゼットのために､と全てを捧げる彼女の愛情の大きさすら霞ませてしまいます｡
　情け容赦無く不遇の末路へ追いやる展開があまりに悲惨で心が痛みます｡
