長い原作をまとめるのに四苦八苦の感が強いですが、映画だけをみれば、ﾌｧﾝﾀｼﾞｯｸな謎解きの中で名優K.ﾌﾞﾗﾅｰが笑いを誘う演技の巧さには舌を巻きます。3作目以降ではM.ｽﾐｽやA.ﾘｯｸﾏﾝの存在感が薄れていく中、本作ではK.ﾌﾞﾗﾅｰとともにいい味をだし、原作を読んでいない方がかえって楽しめる作品と感じました。

原作に忠実で、雰囲気を大事に、本を読んでいるのと同じように話が進んでいくので好きです。全部取り入れようとしすぎて途中の謎ときや結末が薄くなってしまったような気がします。子供向けが得意な監督だけに"怖さ"が足りないのが惜しかった。

それにしても、魔法の授業、クィディッチ、車の飛行シーン、ロンの家、アラゴグ、ポリジュース薬と視覚的に楽しい映像のオンパレードで引き込まれていきます。映像だけでなく登場人物同士の人間関係の密度さも描けていたら文句なしでした。特別版の未公開シーンを入れていたらもっと評価は上がっていましたね。お手頃な価格なので、ぜひハリポタシリーズを制覇してみてください☆

少し大人になったみんなが帰ってきて新学期を迎えたホグワーツ。
初めからハリーには災難が降りかかってしまいますが…
第１作目よりも迫力のある仕上がりになっていました。（クライマックスの盛り上がりには１作目と同様やはり欠けましたが…）

この監督の作品はこの２作目で最後ですが、原作を読んで、初めて映画化されたときの監督がこのクリスコロンバスなので、ホグワーツ魔法学校のイメージとして、この監督のイメージが定着している感があります。

２作目になっても大好きな作品です。
