   視聴率的な面も含めて迷走状態が続いていた、2クール目の「ウルトラマンレオ」だが、第22話ではレオの生き別れになった弟・アストラが登場する、これぞまさしくイベント編。ガロン、リットルの兄弟怪獣とレオ兄弟の対決を手際よく描いた、1話完結にするには惜しいほど内容の詰まった作品。
   翌週からは2週にわたってファンタジー色の強い作品が登場。24話「美しいおとめ座の少女」は、故郷の星から逃亡したサーリン星人の老科学者と、その孫である美少女カロリンが地球でゲンと出会い、彼らの追撃を企むロボットが飛来するという内容。派手な見せ場はロボットの攻撃シーンぐらいだが、じっくり描かれたサーリン星人の悲劇は、名優・天本英世の確かな演技と相まって、清々しい後味を残す。
   21話「北の果てに女神を見た！」では、レオの連続トンボ切りを横移動で捉えた特撮班のカメラが圧巻！また同作品でニケの女神に扮する麻理とも恵とは、後にジャズ・シンガーとしてブレイクする阿川泰子。（斉藤守彦）

第２１話は北海道に宇宙船が向かっているのを知ったＭＡＣはゲンと北山隊員で調査に向かいます。そこには宇宙船を待つニケの女神と破壊しようとする怪獣ノースサタンがいました・・この作品の見所は宇宙人と地球人のほろ苦い、叶わぬ大人の恋です。第２２話は百子の誕生パーティーの最中怪獣ガロンが登場。ゲンは戦闘中ガレキの下敷きになっている兄弟の弟を救助。病院へ運ぶ間にＭＡＣの被害が増大。ダンはゲンの行動を責めますが・・この作品のテーマは兄弟愛です。アストラがいい所でレオを救います。あ、怪獣リットルもいい所でガロンを救います。これも兄弟愛・・・？第２３話はコロ星人は宇宙を散歩中誤って地球へ落下します。そこはトオルと友人たちがＭＡＣごっこをしている遊び場でした・・この作品の見所はレオと怪獣レンボラーのボクシング大会です。最初から最後まで冗談テイスト満載の作品です。第２４話はロボット怪獣ガメロットに追われた宇宙船が東京に不時着、大破。サーリン星人ドドルは怪我をします。それを娘のカロリンは救おうと病院めぐりをしてる最中ゲンと出会います・・・この作品はゲンがカロリンにほのかな恋心を描く珍しい作風です。結末は涙なしにはみられません。それに故・天本英世さんの演技が色を添えます。最後のセリフが心に響きます。傑作です。特典は真夏さんと森次さんの夢の対談です。ファン必見です！

レオでもストーリーとアクションが両立しているエピソードが多いこの巻。

２１話はレオの最後の特訓が描かれている。そしてテーマは地球人と異星人の愛。
レオには意外とこの手のテーマのエピソードが多い（大体ゲンと百子がそうだし）
ノースサタンとの最後の戦いではバク転を多用して相手の攻撃を回避、さすがレオだと思う。

２２話では遂にこの世の終わりのピンチに弟のアストラが登場。
ＭＡＣに過去最大の損害を出したガロンとリットル相手のレオ兄弟のタッグマッチは最高に息があっている。

２３話はギャグ話。
レオがマジメにボクシングで１０ラウンド戦っているのはツッコンでいいのか悪いのか・・・（苦笑）

２４話は再びラブストーリー
可愛い彼女のお誘いを断り、異星人の女の子に会いに行くゲン。いいのか？（笑）
それはともかく、アクションは下手をすれば本編最高の暴走度。敗退はしないが、ガメロットの圧倒的強さ、レオの怒りの猛攻は見ごたえがある。

僕が産まれる前の作品ですが、松岡まり子さんに惚れました(*^_^*)24話の松岡まり子さんは仮面ライダーアマゾンのヒロインです。アマゾンを見てカワイイーと思ったのでレオのビデオ借りて見ました。作品は迷走してますが、まり子さんのためにDVD買おうと思います。アマゾンは作品もよいですよ。
