アルバム・タイトルの「ザンサイアン」とは、"人魚が見た真の青"の意味。
「ザン」とは、沖縄最古と言われる昔話に登場する人魚の名。
「サイアン」とは、英語で"真の青、シアン色"。
この神話的タイトルに込められたものは、強烈な「愛」と「希望」への祈り。失われつつあるものへの思慕と執着。大切に守らなければいけないものへの熱く深い想い。

Cocco久方ぶりののオリジナル･アルバム。
正直不安もありましたが、全曲聴いてみてそんなものは吹っ飛んでしまいました。
昔と同じ部分もありつつ、新しい側面も存分に出ていると思います。
そしてなにより、音楽を本当に楽しんでる様子が伝わってくるのが嬉しい。
｢これからも歌い続けていく決意｣のようなものを感じました。

ちなみに｢音速パンチ｣＆｢陽の照りながら〜｣のカップリングも名曲なので、
機会があればぜひ聴いていただきたいです。

が，傑作｢サングローズ｣より先に行ってる感じはしない。Singer Songerを経ての新機軸を期待したが，期待通りの快作とは言い難い気がする。想定内と言うのか･･。まとまってしまうにはまだ若いし早いと思うのだが。いや全然悪くないアルバムなのだが，何と言ってもソロとしては５年ぶりの復活なのだから，もっと唖然とさせて欲しかったと言うのが本音。次作に期待。まだまだ進化できると思います。

かつてのCoccoの歌に比べて、明るい曲が増えたような気がする。
しかし、心に響く旋律は健在！！やっぱり彼女は良い曲を作るなぁと改めて思うそんなアルバムです。
お勧めの曲は「音速パンチ」「唄い人」「愛うらら」かな？
あんまCoccoが好きじゃないと言っていた方達にもお勧めできるアルバムだと思います。
