　「ゆらゆら帝国のしびれ・めまい」以降、音楽においての肉体性を、可能な限り削ぎ落とし、極端に音の数を減らす事で、無機質な世界を創りあげて来たゆらゆら帝国。
　今作は、前作までの無機質な部分を残しつつ、何処か温かみのある楽曲に仕上がっています。
　「つぎの夜へ」では、一定のリズムで鳴り続けるバスドラと、自在に躍動するベースラインは、あくまで控えめ。そこに、メロウなギターとロマンチックな歌のメロディーが加わります。憂いを帯びた歌詞も印象的。
　カップリングの「順番には逆らえない」では、無機質ですが、脳を痺れさせるような、ソフトなノイズが堪能できます。
　ロックな曲もいいですが、こういう静かな曲も、ゆらゆら帝国の、大きな魅力の一つです。ゆらゆら帝国、初挑戦の方にもぴったりの、聴きやすい曲ではないでしょうか。

最新作『空洞です』には、このシングル曲は収録されません。つまり、聴くにはこれを買うしかありません。ゆら帝としては初めてのことです。
ゆら帝好きの、シングルは買わない主義の方、買ってみてはいかがでしょうか？

個人的に、このシングルはsweet　spotと新譜『空洞です』を繋ぐ橋だと思います。

『sweet　spot→空洞です・美しい』より『sweet　spot→つぎの夜へ→美しい』と聴くと、流れや、変化が自然で、よく分かります。


曲自体は、疲れた夜によく効きます。楽しくも、悲しくも、熱くもならないけど、『ああもう少しやってみようかな』って気になります。
たまに、思い出したように聴きます。長く付き合えるシングルではないでしょうか。

最近のライブでは必ず演奏される、まるで往年のオフコースのような（？）スムーズな曲。最初はPAチェック用の曲かと思いました。CDではさすがにざらついたロックっぽい感じのミックスになっています。前作の「スイート・スポット」ではテクノポップみたいな「ロボットでした」が、ライブでは大音響の大曲に変貌しています。このようにライブでは必ずアレンジが変化してくるので、この曲がどんなグルーブをもつようになっていくのかめちゃ楽しみです。「みんなかなしみを　つれていこう」というフレーズを聴くと、ホントに悲しくなるのです。そういう意味では最も怖い曲かも。
