久々のシングル！「バイマイメロディー」はＫＤＤＩのＣＭソングで、前作同様軽快な曲。
この季節にぴったりの爽やかさで、高音部がとてものびやかで心地よい。
Ｃ／Ｗ「ｈｕｇ」は紅茶花伝ロイヤルミルクティーＣＭソングとなっており
こちらはしっとりめの彼らしい曲ですが、ミディアムテンポで決して重すぎず
ギターのシンプルなサウンドと平井さんの声がとても心地よいです。
系統は違っても、２曲とも初夏を思わせる爽やかさがあっていいと思います。

c/wのhug。紅茶花伝のＣＭソングですが、実はこちらが目当てで買いました。
別にバイマイメロディーがどうというわけではないのですが、平井堅の歌声を堪能するなら、やっぱりhugの方が・・・

伸びやかな歌声と穏やかなメロディで語られる甘いひと時の描写はもう何ともいえません。
恋人との甘いひと時を凝縮して歌にしたらまさにこんな感じでしょう。

前作POP STARから「歌バカ」ダブルミリオンの後
長い充電期間？をへて新曲が来た。
今回はどっちもタイアップ付で「バイマイメロディー」は
前作を彷彿させるような軽快なポップ。
「hug」は得意のミディアムな曲で、
平井堅のいいとこどりのような新曲二つだ。
まさに期待通りの良曲で良かったと思う。
