   1973年のオンエア以来、まったく古びることなく愛され続けている高畑勲監督の名作TVアニメ・シリーズ『アルプスの少女ハイジ』。本作は『宇宙戦艦ヤマト』（思えば『ヤマト』は『ハイジ』の裏番組として視聴率的に低迷を強いられていた）の劇場版大ヒットによって始まった1970年代後半のTVアニメの総集編映画ブームの一環として製作されたものである。ただし再編集の作業に高畑監督は加わっておらず、また一部の声優が別の人に代わっていたりと、公開時は多くのファンをがっかりさせたものだったが、今にしてみれば珍品としての価値はあるかもしれない。いかんせん1話30分毎週1年間放映のものを2時間弱にまとめているため、ダイジェストの感は否めない。総集編そのものなら、後に製作された『アルムの山』『ハイジとクララ』の2部作のほうがまだ時間が長くなった分ストレスなく見ることができるが、こちらも不思議とTV版とは印象が微妙に異なる。（増當竜也）

DVDそのものは観ていませんが、劇場公開時には、映画館へ足を運びましたので、その時の感想を言わせていただければ、ストーリーを追っただけです。感動する暇がなかった。ハイジの声も「まことちゃん」役を演じた後の杉山さんの声は、もはやハイジではなかった・・・。よってTV本編を観た人はやはり全巻そろえるべき。なお、わたしはかさばるけれどTV版VHSビデオ（全10巻）を揃えていますが、ジャケットデザインはDVD（TV版）と比較し、ビデオのほうが好き！「HEIDI」って、でかでかとあるのはどうも・・・
