少しコーティングのムラが無いわけではないですが、まずまずの質感です。
全体にクロムでコーティングがしてあるので、握った後でも手が鉄くさくなりません。
両端のところがネジで外れるようになっていて、プレート（一枚500g)の枚数を変えて重さを調節できます。
軽い割にはやや長い（27cm)印象を持ちましたが、プレートの枚数が4枚ずつあるので、これは仕方が無いかも知れないです。だからといって、すごく使いにくいということも無いです。
今回は、同じものを二個買って、両手に持って使っていますが、当分運動していなかった自分には、丁度よいウェイトで、なかなかいい感じです。
女性や腕力に自信の無い方が、これからトレーニングを始める際に、最初に購入するものとしておすすめできると思います。

商品画像がかなりきれいだったので期待していたぶん、商品をみてがっかりしました。塗装ははがれ、目立つ大きさのサビも…。
ダンベルによくある臭いや、プレート交換時の粉等はほとんど感じません。
1〜5kgで1kgずつ重量調整ができる事と価格を考えれば、品質を重視しない方にとってはお買い得だと思います。
2本購入し、かなりトレーニング幅が広がりました。

　小生も20代若かりし頃は、スレンダーベンチで腹筋200回・ヒンデュースクワッド200回・ダンベルは17.5kgを日課としていたが、失神性頸性脊椎麻痺の進行と下脚潰瘍の悪化により39歳の現在に至っては５kgが限度となってしまった。今後の進行の事を考えるとこの製品は一生物といえるのでは。男性だけでなく女性にもお薦めします。
