   かつて殺人事件に巻き込まれたことから修道院と関わりを持ちつつも、今は再びショービス世界に舞い戻っていた歌手のデロリス（ウーピー・ゴールドバーグ）は、シスターたちの要請によって、不良学生の巣窟でもある高校へと派遣された。やがて彼女は悪がきたちの音楽的才能を認めてコーラス・グループを結成させ、音楽活動を開始する。
   前作の好評を受けて製作された、主演ウーピー・ゴールドバーグの魅力全開のパワフルな「歌う尼さん」ソウルフル音楽コメディ映画第2弾。冴え渡るコーラスの響きなど、音楽的素晴らしさが前面に繰り広げられているのも前作同様だが、今回はさらにその音色によって悪がきたちが善導されていくのが、いかにもアメリカ映画らしい明るさに満ちあふれているのがいい。（的田也寸志）

第１作は、どたばた喜劇的なところがあるが、
第２作は、教育的な視点があり、単なる第２作という域を超えている。

リルケの
「若き詩人への手紙」
という本の話が出てくる。

このDVD（実際にはLDの時代）を見て、リルケを初めて読みました。

芸術家になる人への、一つの教訓を示しています。
「自分が作家だと思うこと」が大事とのこと。
併せてリルケの「若き詩人への手紙」とよいかもしれない。

「天使にラブソングを２」の内容は、若い上り坂の歌手が出ていて、すばらしい歌声を聞かせてくれます。
第１作を超えた内容だと思います。

往年の学園ゴスペル・コメディー（？）が廉価版で再登場。ミュージカルと呼びたいくらいキャストの歌唱力も最高です。

荒れる教室、無気力な生徒達、熱血教師が歌を通し彼らに夢を教え更生させていく、主題歌も大ヒット…。
そう、これはアメリカの「金八先生」なのです！　そういえば主人公の顔もどちらかといえば類人○系…（失礼）

両親の反対を押し切って歌手を夢みる少女の役で、当時まだ無名だったと思われるローリン・ヒルが好演しています。
デビュー前の新人が映画タイアップのそうした役で登場するのはたまに見かけるが、ほとんどはモノにならない。しかしローリン・ヒルは現実に夢が叶いスーパースターへの仲間入りをしました。この映画の続きを見ているようで「よかったね」と声を掛けたくなります。

とにかく上手い！気持ちいいくらい抜群な歌唱力でグングン引き込まれ、自然とカラダが動き出しそうなノリ、ホロリとするシーン、何度見ても飽きない、名作と呼ぶにふさわしい作品だと思う。
