   『ラーゼフォン　多元変奏曲』の京田知己監督によるTV秀作SFアニメーション・シリーズのDVD第3弾。第7話「アブソリュート・ディフィート」第8話「グロリアス・ブリリアンス」第9話「ペーパームーン・シャイン」第10話「ハイアー・ザン・ザ・サン」を収録。主人公レントンがドッキリカメラにひっかかる第7話だけを見て、本作をコメディSFと勘違いする向きもあるかもしれない。しかし、ドラマは徐々にシリアスな全貌を明らかにしていく。第8、9話に登場するヴォダラクなる反政府組織とみなされた宗教団体、この団体は後々ドラマに大きな影響を及ぼすことになるので覚えておいた方がいい。またこの巻では、エウレカやレントンたちの暗い過去が描かれると共に、初めて戦争とは人と人との殺し合いであることを訴える設定も露となっていき、後々のハードな展開を予見させる。そして次巻からは、ついにドラマが本格的に始動するのだ！（増當竜也）

なぜこんなに素晴らしいアニメが批判されるのだろう？
ストーリーもありきたりではあるが、戦争を軽々しく扱わず丁寧な作りになっている。
なによりロボットのアクションシーンは非常に素晴らしい出来で、迫力がある。
最近のオタクは「ガンダムＳＥＥＤ」じゃないと観れないのかな？
そんなにアニメの戦争はゲームみたいでないとダメ？重苦しいのはダメ？
主人公は美形じゃないとダメ？萌えじゃないとダメ？
批判するのに「エヴァ」だとか曖昧な言葉を使うなよ。
そんなのこの作品だけでなく、「エヴァ」にも失礼だ。
結局、否定派のオタクのほとんどは批判することだけに力が入りすぎて、作品を良く観れてない。
どこが良いのか、どこが悪いのか、ハッキリ分かるようになってからもう一度出直しておいで。
アニメオタクから批判オタクに変身しないようにね。

　今現在放送分全話見ていますが、
たしかにエヴァとか１ｓｔガンダムの匂いはします。
が！めちゃおもろい！と、ええ大人が楽しめるアニメです。
　ごちゃごちゃ萌えないだのパクリだのなんだの
言う人がいますが、もっと素直にひとつの
作品としてみればキャラの独特の人間臭さとか謎の多い部分は、
とても魅力的やし探究心をくすぐられます。
　エヴァのように最後訳の分からん結末にだけは
ならんといて欲しいけど。
　ホランドの大人になりきれない大人の気持ち苛立ちは、
２０代後半から３０代前半の人には共感できると思うし。
面白い！と思う人が見ればいい！俺は全巻買うぞ！ゲームも！

すまん‥嫁よ。

“笑わないお姫様”ことエウレカは少年との交流によってどんどん感情が豊かになって行きます。少年の一つ一つの動作、仕草が気になって仕方がない様子…ひょっとして…。
第1クールのヤマになる第9話では、いよいよ物語の確信にあたる、少女(エウレカ)の過去、そしてゲッコー･ステイトの目的が序々に明らかにされて行きます。

なお、第7話は｢エウレカセブン｣得意の“箸休め”です。こう云った話が好きかは人によると思うけど、私は全然OKです。
