ロンポス４Ｄと同じ種類のパズルです。３個から５個の球体が色んな形でつながった１２個のピースを、５ｘ１１マスの中に隙間無くはめ込むパズルです。
問題はいくつかのピースがはめ込まれた状態でスタートし、残りのピースを空いたマスに隙間無く全てはめることが出来ればクリアです。スタート時点で手元にある残りのピースの数が１個より２個、２個より３個と多いほど難易度がまします。
平面パズルはレベル６まであり、一つのレベルに１２問の合計７２問（IQ 28-154程度）と難易度が高いチャレンジ問題４問があります。ただしレベル１、２は、はめるピースがそれぞれ１個と２個なので問題と言えるレベルではありませんので２４問は捨て問題です。

ピラミッドに組むパズルはレベル３までで、１つのレベルに６問、合計１８問（IQ 28-91）とチャレンジ問題７問があります。こちらもレベル１は捨て問題な上にレベル２、３も割と簡単で、ピラミッドパズルも出来ますよ、と紹介しているといった程度です。平面とピラミッドで合計で１０１問です。

問題数が少ないのは残念ですが、パズルとしては面白いのでお奨めです。これで３００問位付いてくればコストパフォーマンスはとても良いと思います。私個人は３００問で２千円、４００問２千５百円くらいでも良いので問題数を増やしてほしかったです。問題集だけでも発売しないかな。

余談ですが、携帯するのにもさほど邪魔になりません。問題集もケースに入ります。

４才の息子がロンポスを欲しいとしつこくせがむので、
これができたらねと、試しにあてがいました。

大人にとってレベル１と２は問題になっていませんが、
幼稚園児にとっては、問題の通りにピースを並べるだけで遊び応えがあり、
最後のピースを自分ではめ終わったときには満足感があるようです。

４歳児でもレベル３までは何とか一人でこなせるようです。
ピラミッド型も、レベル１くらいなら一人でできます。
難しい問題になったら、親子であれこれいいながら問題を解くのも楽しく
コミュニケーションツールとしてもよいと思います。

もちろん、大人もつい子供を押しやって自分でやりたくなるくらいおもいろく、
子供がもう少し大きくなったら、さらに難しいロンポスに挑戦させたい、
そう思わせてくれる一品です。

問題数が１０１問あるということですが、それらのうち３６問は残りの１個または、２個のブロックを埋めるだけなので、問題とは呼べません。
すなわち、実質６５問です。
この点がかなり不満だったのですが、ロンポスの公式サイトで毎週無料問題が出題されていることが分かり、
問題数に関する不満はなくなりました。

それから耐久性についてですが、ブロックはプラスチック製ですが、かなり頑丈に作られているようで、
ブロックの玉が分離したりすることはなさそうです。
一方、ケースですが、長期間（約１年）使っていると、ふたの開け閉めを何度も行うため、
折り目のところに亀裂が入ってきました。
でも、黒のビニールテープで補強すれば大丈夫だと思います。
