エディット・ピアフのシャンソンから井上陽水のフォークまで、昔は渋くてレベルの高い曲があったのに最近は淋しい……と思っていたら、そんな思いを吹き飛ばす超渋い曲が有線から流れてきた。秋元順子の『マディソン郡の恋』だった！　歌謡曲の馴染み易さとジャズの手堅さがあり、胸にグッと迫る懐かしさと同時にハッとする新しさがある……「これぞ本物だ！」と即買い。何度聴いても飽きが来ない。ここ数年では桑田佳祐の『東京』を凌ぐ名盤です！！

秋元順子という歌手は、さほど有名ではないが、その実力は知る人ぞ知る、隠れた大物ジャズ歌手。ハスキーヴォイスとなじみやすいメロ、聞くものをなごませるラテン色のアレンジ、単純ではない大人の恋詩。大人に好まれる、新時代の歌謡ポップス！！
カップリング曲の『月の浜辺』も最近の歌謡曲にはない、「不思議さ」を魅力とする新鮮な歌で、こちらもおすすめ。。。
