   シンプルかつ奥深い、大人向けメイキングホビーの王道ともいえるスペースワープの省スペース版。復活第1弾として発売されたスペースワープ5000と比べると全体的には小さくなっているが、新ギミックが付属されたことにより、コースレイアウトの楽しみが大きく広がった。
   付属となったギミックはシーソータイプの2つ。球が落ちると傾き、下のレールに球を誘導するというもので、より動きのあるコースを作成できるようになっている。
   このスペースワープ3500を単体で楽しむこともできるが、すでにスペースワープ5000を持っているという人にとっても、新たにシーソーギミックを使用した巨大コースを作ることが可能になる。このような拡張性がメイキングホビーの最大の楽しみと言えるのかもしれない。（柚木朔太郎）

値段が手頃で組み立ても容易という事で、3500を購入しました。
ところが組み立ては予想以上に複雑で、特に微調整に凄く時間が掛かりました。
少しでも調整が狂うとうまく球が転がらないうえ、レールから飛び出してしまいます。
しかし調整のコツさえ掴めば、面白いように球が規則正しく転がってくれるので、
この達成感は、今までの苦労を一瞬にして忘れさせてくれます！
レイアウトを自由に変えれるのですが、一度完成した物を崩す勇気がないので、
未だに最初に組んだ見本レイアウトで遊んでいます(^^;
でも何度眺めても飽きませんよ~

単に小型版としてのみならず､新規の付加価値たるシーソー機構により商品名通りと思わす初心者も堪能できる逸品。メイキング･ホビーの金字塔､初代がお目見えしてから20余年。その間に知れ渡り､SFファンならずとも心躍らされるワームホールを想起させ､ある意味5000の分岐以上に楽しめるでしょう。のめり込む前に纏まったコース構成に慣らしておくのも得策でしょうが､その中の変化の妙は忘れられません。

単なる転がし実験なんて面白くない。発電機の実験だってすぐに飽きる。スペースワープやメカモを使えば、子どもの目はキラキラ輝くはず。
自分たちの子どもの頃は、小学校の高学年でこれらに挑戦していた。電子ブロックだって本当に面白かった。自分たちで本物を作ることが少ない今、こういうおもちゃが必要なのだ。
