アナログディスク時代の名演奏のカップリング。“前奏曲集第１巻”が 1978 年、“映像”が 1971 年のアナログ録音。
私は一時期、そのアナログディスクの“前奏曲集第１巻”を非常によく聴いた。結果、少々飽きてしまったが、いまだにここから離れ切れない。
音は非常にクリア（録音技術的な意味ではなく）。ミケランジェリのこだわりだろうが、クリア過ぎて興が醒めるかもしれない。
“雪の上の足跡”の凍て付く茫とした表現は圧巻。“アナカプリの丘”のナポリ民謡風のフレーズはさすがイタリアのピアニスト（笑）。しかし“沈める寺”はグロテスクの域に達していると思う。
磨き抜かれた演奏なのは間違いない。ただ、あなたの感性に合うかどうか。
