インディーズ・シーンを賑わしたバンド、kNoBoNkの休止によりソロ活動になった上田のファースト・アルバム。ウルフルズなどのキーボーディストである奥野真哉をプロデューサーに迎え、ゲストにはフラワーカンパニーズといったなかなかの興味深い陣容だ。ロックとポップスの融合といってはちょっと凡庸だが、インパクトのある上田の歌声と前に出てくるような存在感にグッとくるものが感じられる。ラフだけどスウィートとでもいうのか、粗削りだが“これもオレだし、いいんじゃない”なんて声が聞こえてきそうな活きのいいアルバムだ。 (石塚隆) --- 2005年05月号
