本作はMoby自らボーカルを取る曲が多数あるという。
売れに売れた"Play"から前作"18"路線を突き進めた作風になりそうですね。
テクノという新しい音楽に有機的な感覚を混ぜた他人に真似のできない音に
魅せられてしまいます。

ただ日本盤はアンビエント盤がＣＣＣＤなのは残念。

彼のライブは肉感的でパッション溢れた素晴らしいものでゴスペルライブ
に来ているような陶酔感さえ味わえます。
あのライブをアルバムで再現している期待を込めて星をつけさせて頂きます。

様々な音楽ファンに受け入れられそうなアルバムですね。

完全にパーソナルなmobyの音世界に
浸ってください。
それだけでこのアルバムの良さは
充二分に伝わるはずです。

前作、前々作で展開された実験的な音作りが
今回は影を潜め、本人のボーカルがメインの
美しいメロディーが聴けます。
シングル曲「lift me up」の心地良さは、
ここしばらく他のダンスミュージックでは
得られなかった悦楽が身体を走りました。
是非生でも拝聴してみたい曲です。

いつもなら、作詞・曲、アレンジ、ミックス等
全てを自宅でこなし仕上げてしまう彼ですが、
本人曰く、「人生で一度くらい音質的にも
恥ずかしくない作品を出したかった。」そうで、
今回はプロのミキサーを起用し、
スタジオ録音にも入ったそうです。。。
その甲斐もあってか(?)、音の鳴り方は
いつもよりキレイかも。ｗ

イケイケの「外面的」な彼を知りたいのなら、
まずは「Play」をお勧めします。

ある程度聴き慣れている方には「内面的」な彼に
満ち溢れたこのアルバムも、
是非とも聴いて貰いたいと思います。

いつもとはまた幾分違う音世界を
見せつけてくれたmoby。
感謝の意も込めて、☆５つ、あげちゃおう。ｗ

5.0 out of 5 stars 忘れたころにやってきた待望の傑作, 2005/3/9
　約三年ぶりということで、期待のＭＯＢＹ新作アルバムです。｢１８｣買ったのが中３だったので、結構待ちましたね。(ＰＬＡＹをその前に買いましたが。）いつの間にか彼も自分も眼鏡かけていて、時間の流れを感じさせます。
　さて、ＣＤの方はというと、若干スタイルが変わっています。今までは大御所シンガーの声をサンプリングした曲が多くありましたが、今回はそれが一切なく、本人とゲストのローラさんの生のヴォーカルで構成されています。これは彼の声が好きな人にはたまらないですね。もちろん、多様なアップダウンは健在で、展開のすばらしさったらそれはそれは。キャリアを感じさせます。
　ジャケットは非常にいいです。これはもう、指折りですね。紙ジャケですし(無類の紙ジャケ好き)。借りるなんてケチ臭いこと言わず是非お手に取ってください。ブックレットがないのは不満ですが。あっ、日本語版の対訳とかはもちろん入ってますよ。
　ＤＩＳＣ２は、全部インストゥルメンタルなので、ちと退屈です。曲自体はいいですが。まあ、ＤＩＳＣ１に飽きたころにでも聞いてください。二枚をコンポでシャッフルして聞くのもオツですな。１にエクストラで入ってるＰＶは、結構いいです。
　
　最後に、「Go for it!」のファンの方は、是非買ってください。確認してませんが、今年の主題曲も入ってます。
