以前からジャックスの「ジャックスの世界」はやばいと回りから聞かされ、先日やっと購入しました。ごめんなさい･･･これ歴史的名盤ですわ。まずは早川さんの声と世界観に驚かされ、正直ほんとに寒気がしました･･･。さらにアルバムに掲載されている彼のコメントを読んだら、凍りつきました･･･自らの音楽を鏡に例え「見ている者がいつか見られる者に変わっていくときの、恐怖を味わっていただきたい」･･･完全に壊れているようにみえます。しかしこのバンドは「アンダーグラウンドであること」「カルトであること」を極めて意図的に確信的に創りあげている気がします。サウンド的には唯一無二でありながら、しいて欧米のバンドと比較すれば、ドアーズ、ラヴに近いです。またドラムに非常に特徴があり、ロックのダイナミズムを生み出すいわゆるグルーヴは皆無です。これも明らかに意図的なものでこれによりヴォーカルの存在感、サイケデリック感が倍増しているように思えます。とにもかくにも恐るべき才能と知性でもって産みだされた奇跡的名盤です。

1曲目の『マリアンヌ』からすでにジャックスの世界は始まっている。内面から滲み出る魂の叫びを歌いあげるVoの早川義夫の声は本気だ!
早川義夫の歌詞からは、新聞記事を読みながら政治的な歌詞を書いた歌手やグループとは違う、本当の意味での『ロック』を感じる。
歌謡曲とロックの融合、素晴らしい世界。これぞ、日本人のための『日本のロック』ではなかろうか。
興味のある方、ロックが大好きな方、つげ義春が好きな方、本当のロックを聴きたい方……是非、一度聴いてみてください。あなたにとっての『名盤』になるはずです。

スパイダース、ゴールデンカップス等GS実力派組は粋なリズム（体）で日本にロックを植えつけさせ、ジャックスは精神的（心）に日本のロックを植えつけさせた張本人だと思う。
発表から40年あまり、日本のロックは結局ここが出発地点で到着地点ではないか思ってしまうほどロックの重要なエキスが全て詰まっている。オリジナリティもまったく風化していない。
本物のロックは日本では常にアンダーグラウンドなのはジャックスが産み落とした日本のロックがアンダーグラウンドに他ならない為であろう。ドアーズよりもヴェルヴェッツに自分は近いと思う。音だけでなく、空気感が何より自分を何千回と聞かせる要因だ！日本のロックを聴く物は必ず聞いた方がいい！それは好きと嫌いという次元ではなく・・・
