2004年9月のLAでのライヴ録音。お客なしだが、ストリングも贅沢にフィーチャーし、ダイナミックかつデリケイトな歌を盛り立てている。SA-CD対応再生機でなくても音は鮮烈だし、曲数少なめでもトータル分数で濃密。ブックレットも豪華。歌詞の英訳付きだ。

私はＤＶＤも買いましたが、どちらか一方ならＤＶＤのほうがいいと思います。ライヴですが無観客（？）であり、いらん雑音がないのでとても綺麗です。歌は通常のほうがいいかもしれません・・・、演奏も雰囲気が違い、新鮮さを味わえます☆曲数が少ないのは残念ですが・・・。

「この空を飛べたら」。曲調はオリジナルを尊重してか、かなり歌謡チックなままなので、歌詞カードにある写真のラフなイメージからは、若い人は少しギャップを覚えるかもしれない。個人的にはNHKの歌謡コンサートのような幕開けを思い描いてしまった。

さて歌声だが、なかなかしっかり出ていた。先日朝の番組で、みのもんたが中島のコンサートを見に行ったけど上手いのか下手なのかわからない人だね、と皮肉っていた。確かに同曲の「こんなにも」の「こ」などを聴くと、大変そうだったが、それはオリジナルの段階から「こ」の音を逃げずに作っており、今もそれを攻めにいっている姿の現れだ。他の歌手のように声色が一色で、さらっと歌う安易な歌手じゃないんだぞと言いたくなる。ここは高音と、日本語としての発音、「k」の子音「o」の母音の難しさが混ざり、非常に難しい。それでも響きがばんばん伝わってきて、表現力豊かな歌声を聞かせてくれた。

彼女の歌声は本当に様々な表情をみせる。「夜行」におけるエモーショナルさは、他のどのベテラン女声歌手でも無理ではないか。更にそこから「歌姫」の儚さに彩られた歌声への移行、更に再び強さへの回帰を聞くと、彼女の表現者としての実力を感じる。それは音とことばの関係を緻密に考え抜く、作家としてのプライドが、そのまま同時に演奏者としてのプライドにも結びつき、彼女の歌声を後退させない要因となりえていると思う。

2005年中島みゆきコンサートで歌われた、地上の星・この世に二人だけ・銀の龍の背に乗って・歌姫・土用波。コンサートの音色にとても近い造りです。

ほとんどの曲に満足。なかでも、歌姫・銀の龍の背に乗っての熱唱は聴きごたえ充分にあり。
コンサートとほとんど差が無い歌い方で、最後の纏まりが良い。

なんと言っても、音の良さは当たり前です。

このCDはスーパーオーディオCD。

分かりやすく説明

原音の質が100だとします。

CDでは20

DVDでは45

スーパーオーディオCDでは90の再現が可能。
(注・90の数値を発揮するにはスーパーオーディオプレイヤーで聴く事が条件です。通常のコンポなどで聴く場合は90の数値は発揮しないものの通常のCDよりかは確かに音は良いです。)

つまり原音に限りなく近い音こそが、スーパーオーディオCD

どうしてもDVDに眼が行きますけど、2005年現在　中島みゆきCDでは唯一のスーパーオーディオCDなんです。

スーパーオーディオ環境で聴けば、そこはライブホール。

曲が少なく価格が高いという意見もあるが、みゆきさんの音質を表現するならこれぐらいして当然だと思う。

アルバムにも、通常版とスーパーオーディオ版の二つを出して欲しい・・・・。
