このライブへ行った時は、THE YELLOW MONKEYの活動再開を信じていた。
解散も決定し空虚感にも慣れてきた今、改めてＤＶＤを見るとあることに気づく。
あの時聞いていた吉井のＭＣは実は解散をほのめかすような言葉ばかりだった。
ここでそれを列挙するのはこれから見る人のため控えるが、言葉でまた会えるような希望を口にしていても、今ではそれはさよならの挨拶にしか聞こえない。

某誌のインタビューでも吉井は、活動休止を決めた時点で解散も考えていた、と。
いつかまた再開できたらいいな、できるかもしれない、という気もしたから一応休止という形にした、と。
それを読んで「あぁ、吉井はあのライブの時にはもう解散を覚悟していたんだな」と思い、改めてＤＶＤを見直してみると悲しみもこみあげるが、メンバー一人一人のこれからを応援したくなる。
これからも一人一人、形は違えど音楽に携わって行くだろう。
私はもしかしたら再結成するかも、なんて夢まで持っている。
その時がもし来ても「カッコ悪い」なんて思わない。

ドラマーのアニーが観客に向かって深々と頭を下げるところを見るたびに胸が熱くなる(:_;)
なんて礼儀正しく、少しお下品で(笑)、偉大なロックミュージシャンだったんだTHE YELLOW MONKEYって!!!
最高に楽しい時間を過ごせるライヴ映像です。
吉井和哉さんはソロに向かう前に一体どんな気持ちで東京ドームに立って歌っていたのでしょうか? …色々予定調和な物語がいっぱいな世の中でこれほど悩み楽しみをリアルに感じれるミュージシャンがいる時代に生きれている自分を幸せに感じました。
願わくばタイムスリップしてデビュー当時から追い掛けたかったぜ!!
その流れるような気持ちのやり場の無さに一緒に見ている人達も涙するはずさ♪これを見れば!

やはりパンチドランカーツアーなどかつてのライブに比べてパワー不足というか迫力不足というか。
個人的にＷＯＷＯＷの映像ではなかった音声と映像のズレが気になりました。なんか萎えます。
あと序盤のアルバム８からの選曲が気に入らないというのもあります。
初めての人にはパンチドランカーツアー横浜アリーナのライブＤＶＤの方を推します。

ドームライブは賛否両論ありましたが、最後のライブ映像なんでファンなら買いでしょう。メンバー達のいい顔が見れます。
