1曲目、いわゆるアッコさんらしい曲からのスタートにニヤリ！
4曲目のハート・ブレーク・ドールは映画のようにドラマティックなメロディーが印象的。
そして何といっても18曲目の「帰り来ぬ青春」。
発売前にFMで流れた時には一体何が起こったんだ！！と思うくらいに衝撃的でした。
またアッコさんの曲はカラオケで歌ってて楽しい（ただしなりきること！）のでレパートリーが増えたのも嬉しかった。

60〜70年代に子供だった私には懐かしくてまた新鮮な曲が多いのですが、
私の周りのもう少し上の世代や下の世代にも結構うけてます☆

発売を記念したクラブイベントにもアッコさん本人がＤＪ？として出てましたね。
前半は和製Ｒ＆Ｂの名にふさわしくソウルな曲が並びます。
あぁ、こんなカンジかな？って思ってると全然ちがぁっ~う！
ボサあり、A&Mみたいなバカラックあり、メロウありと結構カラフル！
なので意外な発見があるかもしれません。
リミックスがありますが、これは全然ジャズしてます。
小西サンがわざとモノラルミックスした曲もあるし、
（モノラルだと音がかたまりとなってガツンと聞こえますからアッコさんにはこっちが合ってるのかな？）
「真夏の夜の２３時」「悲しい歌」（←ピチカートファイヴの曲のカバーだけど、新しい解釈ですっげぇパワフル！）は
ステレオだけどLo-Hiな音になってます（オリジナルとちょっと質感が違いますね）。
ラストはピアノ中心のこれまたメロウなナンバー。
これを聴いてぜひ「シンガー和田アキ子」を再発見してください。
もちろん解説は橋本徹氏です（このアルバムがシャレだってわかるかな？）

小西康陽コンピレーションによる、古くない新しさ！
アッコのダイナマイト歌唱を充分に楽しめるラインナップです。
７０年代などの過去の曲もアレンジを変えて収録。
往年のファンもきっと満足の珠玉の１枚になるでしょう★
パンチを効かせたいファンキーな夜に！ゴーゴー！！
