前々からアイドル歌手のベスト盤が出てることは知ってたのですが、島田奈美ちゃんのは恐らく「ないだろう」というのが私の考えでした。が、ふとしたことから見つけ、購入に踏み切りました。
モモコクラブの時代から注目してたのですが、こんなに３〜４ヶ月に１度の割合でシングルを頻繁に出すアイドルは当時、あまりいなかったように思います。
私的にはおニャン子ファンでしたが、彼女の曲は何とも可愛らしい。特に私的には「Free Ballooon」と「パステル・ブルーのためいき」が好きです。

「ハロー・レディ」の歌詞。「光と影の三叉路で、私、光の道選ぶ」というなにげない強烈なフレーズに感動。同時期に連続して歌詞を提供した中山美穂、芳本美代子、山瀬まみ達よりも力が入ってる気がする。個人的には松田聖子と90年代のCharaを繋ぐミッシングリンクは彼女だと思う。後半のダンサブルな曲も良く、捨て曲は少ない。「12月のフェアリー」みたいな先祖がえりみたいな感じの曲は本人的にどうだったんだろう?こんな後期にシングルで切るには幼い感じが少々浮いてるかも。

欲しい、欲しいと願っていたけど廃盤の案内ばかりで手に入れられなかった島田奈美のCD。発売されたのを知ってすぐに購入しました。静かに待ち望んでいた方がたくさんいたんだと思います。買えてほんとによかった。＜タンポポの草原＞を聴けてほんとによかった。
