このＣＤがネオクラシックのジャンルになるのかどうか分かりません。
けれども最近ネオクラシックにはまってる私には
マキシムの１stアルバムは最高だったんです。
そしてもちろん今回のアルバムも彼独特にクラシックをアレンジして
くれたものと期待して購入しました。

確かに演奏技術は１stと比べて上がっていましたが
よかれと思ってやったと思われるバックのオーケストラの演奏が
うるさすぎ彼の演奏が負けてしまっていたり、曲のイメージが
原曲の良いところを無くしてしまっているものあり、
選曲についても何か統一性がなく一般受けする楽曲ばかりが目立ち
しまいには純粋なクラシックの演奏部分については、聴くならば
まだまだ有名ですばらしい人の演奏を聴いたほうがよいような
お手本通りの彼らしくない演奏になっているなど
なんとも悲しい出来となっています。

次作については彼独特のキレのある演奏を聴かせて欲しいです。

マキシム２作目のこのアルバムはクロスオーバーと純粋なクラシックの二部構成。
PartIではマキシムのスリリングでドラマティックな演奏にしめつけられます。熱く且つクール。ヒリヒリするような感覚を味わえます。
PartIIのクラシック！惹き込まれました！クロスオーバーの楽曲ではアレンジが多少うるさい気がしますが、クラシカルパートでは彼の演奏に集中できます。最後２曲のピアノソロは圧巻です。前作『the piano player』のパガニーニとの対比も興味深く聴けます。純粋クラシックだけのアルバムも聴きたいと思わせます。
一枚で二つの魅力を楽しめるお得なＣＤです。

ショートプログラムで、スルツカヤが使っていたのはマキシムの
このＣＤの４曲目です。

クラシックと、モダンの両方が楽しめる１枚です。

あまりに有名でコメントのしようもないが、クラシック馬鹿にするような人でもいっぺん聞けば良さは分かる!簡単に言うとピアノが上手なアーティストです。
