LOUDNESS TRIBUTE に参加してから曲が洋楽ノリになってきたラクリマですが
今回もその流れでジャケットまで洋楽っぽくなっています

Hot Rod Circuitは中途半端に洋楽ロックだった前作CANNONBALLと比較して
洗練されてかなりかっこよく仕上がってます
個人的に全盛期のXを思わせるサウンドでかなり気に入っています

カップリングのNothin' To Loseは

スローな感じだが激しくいくところは激しく
ゆったりなところはゆったりと緩急をつけた進行が気持ちよい

前作、CANNONBALLに続き、今回もハードロック調の曲です。個人的な見解で申し訳ないですが、前作は重いハードロック、今回は少し聴きやすくなったハードロックといった感じがしました。こっちの方が、ハードロックをあんまり聴かない人でも、聴き易いかもしれないです。

ただ、ちょっとシャウトが個人的にはすきではないですが･･･これは人それぞれなので･･･

一番よかったのが、ギターがものすごくかっこいいこと！！間奏のギターフレーズとかはさすがラクリマだと思います。ツインでハモってるのでかなり高度な演奏だと感じました。やはりこの曲を聴いて思うのはラクリマの演奏力のすごさ、かっこよさが実感できる所です。今までの曲調とはかわってきていますが、ハードロックであれ、ラクリマ調に仕上げているところが魅力です。でも、やっぱりもっと期待の意味もこめて星３つぐらいで･･･
