日本でも劇団四季が公演していた
『Mamma Mia!』のイギリス盤サウンドトラックだが、
これは公演開始５周年を記念してリリースされた特別盤で、
アンコールで披露される３曲
「Mamma Mia!」「Dancing Queen」「Waterloo」が追加されている。

最近ロンドンのウェスト・エンドやニューヨークのブロードウェイでは
従来のようなクラシックの曲をベースにしたミュージカルに加え、
ある有名なアーティストの曲をフィーチャーしたミュージカルが増えている。

『Mamma Mia!』も後者にあたる１つで、
1970年代を中心に世界的に有名になったグループ
ABBAの曲でストーリーが展開される。

このミュージカルのおもしろいところは、
底抜けに明るいはちゃめちゃコメディながら
話と曲とがうまい具合にかみあっていて、
「この場面でこの曲を使うか！」と思えるところだ。

これがライブ録音だったら間違いなく星５つにしたのだが、
そうではないので星４つにした。
（演奏自体は素晴らしいのでご安心を）

劇団四季の公演でこのミュージカルを知った方も
特にABBAの音楽をオンタイムで聴いていた方で
歌詞も知っている方なら、このオリジナル盤のCDを聴いてみることをお勧めする。
このミュージカルの素晴らしさをさらに実感することができるだろう。

劇団四季版をみてマンマミーアの虜になりました（＾＿＾)CＤは発売されていないかと必死に探していたところこれが目に留まり、なんとアンコールで歌っていた「DANCING QUEEN」や「WATERLOO」まで入っているではありませんか！！！即行買ってしまいました。

やっぱりABBAの歌はいいねー♪
車でも部屋でもお風呂でも聴きまくってます！

劇団四季の皆さんの歌声も最高だったんですが、こちらも負けないくらいいいです☆ソフィー大好き！！！

気がついたらノリノリで踊りながら聴いてます（笑）

劇団四季で「マンマミーア」を観て真っ先にＣＤを探したのですが、残念ながら日本人オリジナルキャストが無く、調度ロンドンキャスト５周年版が発売されていたので、迷わず購入しました。
聞いて見るとヤッパリＡＢＢＡは英語の歌詞の方が違和感無く聞けて臨場感溢れる素晴らしいＣＤでした。
最初の希望に反して購入したＣＤなのに、結果としてこちらの方が大変満足していました。
