   上田正樹とサウス・トゥ・サウスを結成。1975年にはその上田とのデュオ名義で『ぼちぼちいこか』というアンプラグドな名作を残している有山じゅんじ。ソロになってからも、ラグタイムやブルースをベースにしたセンスフルなフィンガー・ピッキング・ギターとハートフルな歌声によるオリジナルな弾き語りスタイルでファンを魅了してきた彼の、実に6年ぶりとなる作品だ。9曲目のタイトルにもある、まさに“ありやまな夜”と言うべき、その独特のほのぼのとした歌世界で和ませてくれる。

   日本にもこんなにゴキゲンなアコースティック・スウィング・ミュージックがあったのだ。お酒を飲みながら生演奏で楽しみたい種類の音楽。粋でありながら、人生の哀歓をたっぷり滲ませているところに惹き込まれる。（木村ユタカ）

十分なインターバルを とってやっと新録音を発表してくれました。タイトルは ＜Thinking Of You＞。CDジァケットを 見ても 思わずニンマリしてしまうような 有山さんのあたたかい 自然体の雰囲気がそのまま伝わってくるようです！前作の＜明日元気になれ＞から六年 今作はまったくのギター一本と歌だけで 聴いていると まるでライブを見ている感があり　ライフ・タイム・ミュージック（？！）で　リラックスした気分に　させてくれるような　気持ちよく聴ける感じに仕上がっています。＜１＞誰もやらない　でも僕はやるよ！みんなが嫌がる　でも僕は　やるよ！（こんなこと　易々とは言えんでえ！みたいな。）、一度聴いたら　忘れられないような歌と　美しいギターのタイトル曲の＜３＞、有山さんにしかできないラグ・タイム・ギター＜６＞、友部正人との競作で　芸術的な美しさのギターの響きがする＜７＞、今作で一番の有山サウンドで　しびれる（？）＜９＞、５０になったら　みんなバレる、だから５０から始まる　始める　と説得させられる（私は　まだまだですが。。。）＜１１＞。自分自身のことを　こんな感じで　表現している有山さんは　ほんとにかっこいいなあ！

いやー素晴らしい。
声、言葉、ギターが、ギュッとひとつになっていて、無理がなく、強く、やさしく、チャーミングで。
いつのまにか彼は表現者としてこんな高みにたどりついていたのですね。日本のブルースのひとつの到達点。
いや、このＣＤは、ブルース好きのファンだけが楽しむ類のものでは断じてない！

今の日本にこんな素敵な歌を歌う人はいないのでは。ギター一本だけど、もっとも良質な日本のロックだといえるでしょう。
凡庸なジャケットデザインにだまされないように！中身はぴちぴちに新鮮です。

日本屈指のギタリストさることながら、心の中にポッと灯火がともるようなアルバムの一つです。
優しきブルースマン・有山じゅんじの歌声に長年にわたる誰にも真似できないモノがあります。
とにかくいっぺん聴いてみて。ギターテクも教えてくれるし、気持ちも温かくなる。ホンマやで！
