80年の新人豊作の年に《スター誕生》からスカウトされ『スタア』でデビュー。
その後コンスタントにシングルを発売しますが残念ながらヒットには恵まれませんでしたが歌唱力はともかく楽曲の出来はよい。
『いつでも答えはYESなのよ』『マーマレード気分』など可愛い曲も多いが、個人的にはラストシングルとなった『踊り子』が好き。彼女の魅力がぎっしり詰まった一枚です。

そんな中、急性心不全で逝去されたとの訃報を聞きました。いまとなっては悲しいアルバムになってしまいました。
アイドルが一番輝いていた時代の作品がぎっしり詰まってますのでぜひ一枚手元においておきたいアルバムです。
御冥福をお祈りしたいと思います。

今頃遅いが、同期の松田○子、河合奈○子より個人的には可愛かった。「マーマレード気分」はSHOGUNの芳野藤丸の作曲であり、当時準主役だったTVドラマ「Go!Go!チア・ガール」で流れました。因みに主役は三原順子。「Si!Si!C!」は米屋さんで売っていたジュース「プラッシー」のCMソング。「WINK」、「チェミィはアイドル」はファースト・アルバム「WINK」から。「さよならサンセット」の一節♪あなたの想い出を哀しく彩る　夕陽よ照らして　あの人の姿　美しく心に残しておきたいの」。このフレーズには泣けます。

甲斐 智枝美さんがデビューした年、私は入学したての高校1年生でした。たしかデビュー曲は「スタア☆」でしたよね。同い年の彼女にたいへん好感を持ちレコードも買いました。とても明るい性格の人で、彼女を見ると とても心が和みました。あれから月日が流れ、私も四十を過ぎました。朝、新聞を見たら「甲斐智枝美さん自殺」…、青春時代の思い出の人が…。 心より御冥福を御祈り致します。
