これは吉井和哉の至極私的な、私小説的な作品だと思います。
大人になりきれない青年期の出口のない不安や嘆き、死とエロスへのけだるく甘いあこがれ。イエモンのようなダイナミックなロックサウンドとは異なる情念的とも言えるじめじめした暗いメロディとサウンドは、身悶えるほどのやるせなさを感じます。そこにはステージの上のきらびやかなロックスターの面影は微塵もなく、等身大のペシミスティックな一人の青年がたたずんでいるだけです。
それにしても自分がいい大人になっても、吉井和哉の青臭く悲観的な思春期的世界観に共感するとは思いませんでした。しかしロックとはそういうもので、死ぬまでこんな気持ちを引き受けて行かなきゃいけないんでしょうね。
個人的には『SICKS』に匹敵する傑作だと思います。畳の部屋で、ひとりで過去に浸りながら聴くことをおすすめします。

イエモンのロビンとしてはどうも演じているような部分があったんだけれど、
そういう部分がすぱっと切り離されて、
ある意味とてもリアルな感じに仕上がっていると思う。
歌詞自体からしてとても現実感が漂い、
イエモン時代にはなかった生活感まであるような気がする。
音楽的にイエモンとは全く違うと離れて行った人もいるみたいだけれど、
吉井さん自身にはぐっと近づいたのかもしれない。
イエモンのロビンではなく、
人間「吉井和哉」の作品と言えるだろう。(ちょっと言い過ぎ？)

このアルバムは素晴らしい！最近の邦楽って何故か聴いててもあんまり感動しない私ですが、これにはﾔﾗﾚました････大袈裟ですが、まだ邦楽も捨てたもんじゃないな〜とか思いました(笑)それぐらい印象に残るアルバムです！

『あっ、ちょっとコレ聴いてみようかな』って感じで是非聴いてみて下さい！
普段歌詞カード見ないで音(リズム)だけで音楽を選んで聴いてたんですけどこれは思わず歌詞も聴いてしまうし、歌詞も見ずにはいられなくなります！その辺の音楽とは何か違う、歌詞に【嘘っぽさ】が全く感じられないですね。全曲とてもリアルだと思いました。最高です！
