うちの息子は１歳半ですが、以前から（生後まもなくから）聞かせていたクラシックが好きで、さらにＮＨＫの夕方合間にやっていた『クインテット』というパペットが色んな交響曲や歌をするのを見るのが好きだったので、このビデオの紹介を見たとき『これは好きかも』と思ったらドンぴしゃりでした。アニメなどよりも粗雑でなく、幼児が楽しめる『間』がきちんと考えられていて、評価は大人の目よりも、幼児自身がすると思います。うちの息子は言葉も比較的早く、しかし音楽も好きで、ベートーベンの運命とかのテーマがでてくると一緒に口ずさんでいます。ただこのビデオの惜しむらく点は、本物のオーケストラの音楽を録音、採用していないところでしょうか？クラシックにうるさい私はちょっとこの点が最初にみたとき、その『かわいらしくした？』音楽ですか、でもその音のちゃちさにがっかりしました。本物のよい音を聞かせてあげたほうがよいのでは？と思いました。その点を差し引いてもクラシック音楽好きの息子には大好きでしかたのないビデオのようです。自分で棚から持ってきて『見せて』と何回もねだります。ただお子さんによってはクラシック好きかどうかで興味が分かれるかも？しれません。以上のＮＨＫのクインテットを面白そうにみているなら、このビデオは本当に投資のしがいがありますよ。

９ヶ月になる息子のためにＤＶＤ発売を事前予約して購入しました。
大人から見れば単純な「パペットショー」や「からくりおもちゃ」の映像なのですが、子供にはそれがたまらなく楽しいようです。
かわいくアレンジされたベートーベンの名曲が流れ出すと、急いで近寄ってきてじーっと見ています。きっとすっかり音楽も耳慣れているのでしょう。

画面をじっとみつめるあまりの熱心さに、電源ＯＦＦの手がためらわれる程です。
時間も３０分弱と短いのですが、テレビの見せすぎも懸念されるので、このくらいがちょうどよいと思っています。
