この巻は、1989年の「新喜劇やめよっかな！？キャンペーン」以降活躍した今田耕司、東野幸治、石田靖のギャグを中心に編集されており、ベテラン勢はキャンペーン以降も活躍中の島木譲二、池乃めだか、桑原和男、井上竜夫、チャーリー浜、末成由美、（現在は新喜劇ではないが）間寛平らのみの出演となっている。
私は岡八朗、花紀京、木村進、船場太郎の出ていた頃の新喜劇が見たかったので正直がっかり…。
しかもここに収録されている「香港ロケ編」は、バブル時代に金にまかせて適当に作ったとしか思えないうすっぺらな内容で（香港の人に申し訳ないと思ってしまった）、「古き良き時代の新喜劇」ファンの方にはおすすめできません。
でも、メンバーが入れ替わった頃の活気あふれる当時の若手（みんな若い！！）の演技は、それはそれでそれなりに楽しめるかも…。

わかってるんだけど、つい笑っちゃう（笑）それが新喜劇ではないでしょうか？最近は誰が出てるか知らないけど、吉田ヒロは10年たってもかわってない所がすごい！（多分ギャグのセンスもかわってないハズ）
やっぱり王道はめだか兄さんでしょ。カニばさみされた~い。

島木さんの意味不明なギャグも、「神様~」も、寛平兄さんの「かい~の」も何年たっても現役バリバリ！
ちなみに私が好きな場面は、父・めだかと息子・今田のやり取りかな。
