映画のサントラというと主題歌、BGMがフルで流れるのが普通だと思われるでしょうが
これは映画からそのまま取り込んだ音と音楽で成り立っています。
つまりキャストの会話（セリフ）、自転車のブレーキ音などと一緒に
映画そのものから音楽を切り取っているサントラ、ということです。

サントラ用に作られたCDもジャックタチ映画にはいくつかありますが
その音楽がどんなシーンでどんな風に使われていたか
映画を見なくても想像できてしまうわけです。

音作りにも執拗だったジャックタチ。
例えばヒールを履いた靴の音はピンポン玉を落として作られているそうですが
映画だとそこまで気にしないはず。
このCDでは単に音楽だけではなく、そうした一つ一つの音までが
「音楽」として耳に入ってくるから不思議。

「パラード」のダンスシーンやラストシーンの車の音が生き生きと聞こえてきて
映画を見なくても見ているような気分になれる楽しいCDです。
