僕はいわゆるフュージョンやクロスオーバーの世代では無い。ダンスミュージックやHIPHOP,R&Bが主流なイマドキの世代だ。流行りに流されやすい世代でもある。自分が一体何なのか見つめ直す暇さえ無い時代だからだ。

このCDを試聴した時、正直同世代に人気無さそうな曲だと思ってしまった。

でも退屈しない緊張感とスピード感溢れる綺麗なメロディーラインは、逆風に向かってく力みたいなのを感じた。そしてどことなく懐かしさも・・。
聴いてる内に癖になり、思わず買ってしまった。なぜか小学生の頃を思い出した。想像力が湧き、メロディーと一体化する自分が分かった。

聴けば聴くほど味の出る、スルメのようなアルバムだ。ハズレの曲はほとんど無い。この手の音楽は僕等の世代は見過ごしがちだが、いい音楽はいい！！これが答えだ。そしていいものは流行りに関係ない。２０代の皆、聴け！！J-フュージョンを！

オレンジセレクションと同時に買いました。これも良いです。懐かしい「カリフォルニアシャワー」から最近の日本フュージョンまで網羅し、とても気持ちがいい。ただ、個人的には、オレンジセレクションの方が好き。これで驚いたのは、今まであまり聴いてなかった、森園勝敏がいたころのプリズムが、超カッコイイこと。ツインギターの魅力バッチリで、全パートにソロがある、一時のフュージョンの王道みたいな曲。音とフレーズで、右チャンネル森園、左チャンネル和田アキラ、とはっきり分かります。この「サイクリング」一曲で、これを買った甲斐がありました。皆さんもいかがですか？気持ちいいこと保証します。

このアルバムに収められている２曲は’８７年角松敏生にとってもっともバブリーな時代に作られたアルバム「SEA　IS　A　LADY」から角松節炸裂の二曲である。この２曲はフリークの方なら聞けばすぐ角松の作品と分かるギターと心地よいメロディーラインが聞き手を懐かしいあの夏の日へ誘う。
オリジナルアルバム収録の「SEA LINE」は必聴である。
