   無気力な日々を過ごしていた高校生の鈴木（妻夫木聡）たちは、新任女教師（真鍋かをり）の色気に乗せられて、男たちのシンクロナイズド・スイミングをやらされる羽目になる。恥ずかしさと難しさが共存する中、彼らは秋の文化祭に向け、夏休みにイルカの調教師（竹中直人）から猛特訓を受けるのだが…。
   おとぼけ淡泊な味わいと、男のシンクロという奇想天外（しかし実際にあるとのこと）なアイデアがミックスした、矢口史靖監督の快作。コメディとしてのベースを保ちつつ、思春期特有の倦怠感などが真夏の水辺に映え、どこかノスタルジックな想いをほうふつさせるのがいい。またクライマックスのシンクロ・シーンはまさにスペクタクル的圧巻。女性客に大ウケしたのも実にうなづける！？（的田也寸志）

評判は聞いていたんですが何となく馬鹿にして見てなかった事を恥じいってます。良いです。見終わった時にはお腹の底から爽やかな気持ちにしてくれます。ＣＧを使って何でも有りの映画がやたらと幅をきかせている昨今、この映画は若い出演者達が体を張ってホンモノを見せてくれてます。クライマックスのシンクロのシーンはもちろん、ゲームセンターでリズム感を鍛える為の特訓に５人が踊るシーンとか・・・たぶんもの凄く練習したんでしょう。まだまだベテラン俳優ほどの演技力は無くても、こういう一生懸命さと元気さには素直に感動しました。妻夫木聡も好演ですが玉木宏、大化けする気がします。とにかく、ホント、良い映画です。

本編が面白いのは皆さんご承知の通りですが
このDVDのすごさは特典映像のボリュームにあると思います。

28人の俳優達の合宿生活や、サイドストーリーも満載で
これでもか！とウォーターボーイズの全てが詰め込んである事にビックリしました。

高い・・と思いましたが買って納得！

のだめカンタービレを見てから、これを見ました。

俳優の主人公が、玉木宏、竹中直人がだぶっています。

邦画はあまりみませんが、これは見ていて嫌なところがありません。
音楽に関する取り組みもまあまあという感じです。

竹中直人の濃い性格も、若い人たちの力の前では嫌みな感じはありません。
音楽を楽しみながらみるのによいと思います。

のだめカンタービレが、アニメの実写版で成功した背景の一つが、この作品にあることがわかりました。

スウィングガールズも、併せて見るとわかるかもしれません。
こちらは、上野珠里と竹中直人がでています。

３部作と考えると面白いかもしれません。
