職人、デイヴィッド T.ウォーカー(g)と、彼とは30年以上の付き合いがあるJ.サンプル(p、key)。一時期、デイヴィッド T.ウォーカーはクルセイダーズのサポートをやっていたこともありますが、本作('89年作)はクルセイダーズよりも、もっともっとベーシック＆シンプルなソウルテイスト溢れるアルバムになっています。
H.シルバーの代表曲として名高い[3]や、P.スレッジの歌で有名な[4]など、耳なじみの曲が、デイヴィッド T.ウォーカーの柔らかなギターと上手くマッチしています。
ただ、悪く言えば"身内のセッション"的な色合いが多分にあり、商業的に"これ"といえる部分がちょっと見当たらないですねかねぇ。
寧ろ、(私もその一人ですが)"デイヴィッド T.ウォーカーのプレーが聴きたい"というファン向けのアイテムの１つとして割り切って捉えた方がいいように思います。
＃ベテランのC.レイニー(b)も参加。プレーはちょっと控えめかな?
