   ひとりの女性（麻生久美子）が海難事故で行方不明になり、遺体があがらないまま葬式が行われていく。そして、その場に集まった小学校時代の同級生や恋人などさまざまな若者たちが、次々と彼女との思い出を回想していくのだが…。
   それぞれのキャラクターの記憶から、はじめ不確かだったひとりの女性の真実の姿が次第に紡ぎ出されていくという、ノスタルジックだが決してそこに溺れてはいない青春群像劇の佳作。そのみずみずしくもリリカルな語り口と、現代日本映画界若手個性派俳優たちの競演が見事にマッチ。『GO』で2001年度の映画賞を総なめした行定勲監督による劇場用映画第2作にして、初の公開作品（処女作『OPEN HOUSE』は2002年春現在、未公開）となった。（的田也寸志）

ノスタルジックな感じが切なさを感じさせる作品です。今の恋人と喧嘩をしている中、主人公（袴田吉彦）は何気なく見ていたニュースで小学校時代の同級生（麻生久美子）が海難事故に会ったことを知る。故郷へ帰り、同級生の葬式が行われていく中、主人公の心の中で昔いじめられていたその少女（麻生）との切ない思い出が蘇る。現実と回想シーンの連続が主人公の知られざる心のうちを痛いくらい上手に表現している。

　そして、葬式も終わったころ、主人公はその少女と出会う・・・。幼い頃から抱えていた一つの思い出が明らかに・・・。事故の少し前に主人公の留守電に卒業以来会っていなかったその少女からメッセージが。ストーリーの前後で繋がる深いストーリー。暖かくて、切ない久しぶりにいい日本映画をみました。

初恋とノスタルジー。これに共感しない人間はよほどの堅物に違いない。インタビューで監督が語っているように、この作品のどこかに自分と重なる何かを誰でも見出すことが出来るだろう。

　俳優陣も各々が自然体に近い演技で、各登場人物の特徴を見事に出している。音楽も良い。それにしてもこの作品での麻生久美子は魅力的だ。愛を乞いながらついぞ人を愛せずに終わる女性の悲しい運命を、悲壮感を出さずに演じきっている。各男性を前にしたときの表情の違いや心の動きの微妙な揺れまで感じさせる繊細な演技だ。こういう映画を前にしてあら捜しをするのはやめにしておきたい。とにかくおじさんはこういうのに弱いのだ。

ちょっと大胆な事を書きますが・・

「性依存症」なる精神障害がありますが、朋美にはその傾向があったのじゃないかと思います。
実らないどころか「汚い」と言われた苦い記憶が残った初恋の思い出の反動なのか、
愛を希求し、多くの男性と関係を持ってしまう悲しいヒロインでした。

ありがちなテーマ、幽霊がいつ現れても不思議ではない日本の文化等々見どころはてんこ盛りです。
どの役者さんも感情を抑制した演技を披露していました。
そこが一番良かったですね。
