内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

2001年3月に最終回を迎えたアニメーション『地球少女アルジュナ』のサントラは名盤の声も高いが、これはその第2弾。大げさにブロウするサックスからそのタイトルが付けられたと思われる、ほんのりケルト色な「エンカ」や壮大なスケールのオーケストラ曲「アスラ実体化」など、バラエティに富みつつもそれぞれが消化不良を起こしていないところはさすが菅野よう子。アニメを観ていなくても十分に楽しむことができる。坂本真綾が歌う曲も2曲あり。「さいごのマメシバ」は「マメシバ」の別ヴァージョン。 (編集部) --- 2001年07月号

「into the another world」も素晴らしい作品だったが、
こちらも傑作と呼べる出来。
「into the another world」よりも比較的アンビエント色が強く、
気楽に聴けるのはこちらの方かも。
しかし相変わらず一つ一つの音は洗練の極みで、
じっくり、耳を澄まして聴いていると
そのあまりの凄さに震えを感じることもしばしば。

地球少女アルジュナの作品としての評価は分かれるところがあると思います。自然保護に片寄り若干説教されているように感じてしまうところがあります。ただ菅野よう子さんの音楽が加わると作品のクオリティーが２００％になりますのでＣＤだけ買って聴くだけでも十分楽しめるでしょう。

　やっぱりこの２枚目で完結する構成なので、せっかくなので最後まで聞くべし。しかもこっちのほうが破滅と再生のフィナーレに向かう音源が中心でヘビー。何度かEDに使われた08が救いだが、10の切迫感、12の「宮崎駿の久石譲かこれは！」と思わせるような壮大な仕掛けが聞かせる。13はもっとギターが聞こえたような気が。これは少し中低音の強調を抑えた方がそれらしいかも…
　ボーナストラックは「よーやるわ」と思わせた劇中ＣＭのアレです。お楽しみ下さい。
