デビューアルバムの健全なポップスから一転して、男女の官能の世界を
パンクオヤジ、ゲンズブールに託して魅力を引き出そうとした１枚。
１７歳の小娘が余裕をかますのには早すぎるしょっぱな１曲目、７曲目。
しかし渋い灰汁を出したアレンジはさしずめ荒野の土埃に舞い降りた謎の美
少女ガンマンといった感じ。

いいところのお嬢が素性を隠して悪い遊びを覚えたという作られたイメージは
わかるんだけど、またそれが良いのだ。
大人と子供の境にある中途半端な女の子の成熟への憧れが、強烈にクールに
表現されてて、やはり小悪魔と呼ぶに相応しいヴァネッサがこれ１枚に。

前作の彼女の可愛さを前面に出した仕様とは違って、これは紛れもなく
ゲンズブール作品です。　あくまで曲があって、そこにアイドルとして
というより歌手としての彼女を起用した、という感じ。
ゲンズブールが時々やる「我流擬似アメリカンロック」的作風は安っぽく聴こえることもあって賛否分かれるところだと思いますが、個人的にはその辺も彼らしくて好きです。

聴けば聴くほど味の出るアルバムだとは思いますが、前作が大好きでこれも、と手に入れられた方は戸惑うかもしれません。
