　彼女の声は、イロッポイ、カワイイ、チャーミングだ。
　CDジャケットをしばし見つめる。

　声の通りの姿、ファッション、長い髪の毛。

　じゃあ、曲作りは、どうだろう？

　声の通りだ。

　とにかく、イイ。

　僕の持っている、フレンチポップスのコレクションと比べてみるとどうだろう？

一番の対抗馬は、ジェーン・バーキン。彼女も色っぽい。声もSEXYだ。かわいい。チャーミングだ。

　しかし、ともに同じ時代を歩いてきたのは、
僕にとっては、ヴァネッサ・パラディだ。

僕は、一生、彼女の、CDそしてDVD、は持ち歩くだろう。
　パトリシア・カースのCDと一緒に。

お馬鹿な女の子です。ひたすらお馬鹿な歌声です。たまりません！ｗ
フレンチポップスが流行るのは６０年代のシルヴィ・バルタン、フランス・ギャルなど以来ですね。

この時期のティーンエイジャーのレコードはダンス物になりがちなのを流行に動かされず古典的なフレンチポップスに仕上げたのはマネージャーもしている彼女の叔父さんの力量だそうです。（１９８８制作）

ファッションショーで、場内が暗くなりスポットライトだけになった時、
かかった曲が、このアルバムのタイトル曲「marilyn & john」だった。
スローナンバーで、リズムの取り方がとてもかっこいい。歌も歌い方もいい。

6 曲目の「JOE LE TAXI」も名曲。
都会の舗道で女がタクシーを止めて乗り込む。
「出して」とかなんとか言う小芝居があって、曲に入っていく。曲の始まりが劇的。
これら 2曲はリズムが横揺れ系で、ノリがいいので、気持ちがいい。

全体が良質なポップスアルバム。
いちばん彼女が純粋にポップス・ミュージックと向き合って作り出したアルバムだと思う。
この後、彼女は自分の個性を音楽でどう表現していくかという段階に入っていく。

出産後に出した『BLISS』も幸福感が溢れていて、良い1枚。
CHARAの音楽とかが好きな人にはおススメです。
