モニクアースが亡くなって、そろそろ20年くらいだろうか。
亡くなったときは、実に悲しい思いをしたのを憶えている。
印象派と呼ばれるドビュッシーの譜面を、
ここまで忠実に、そして繊細に表現できる演奏家は、
たぶんもう二度と出ないと私は思ったから。
私はこれほど、純粋なドビュッシーを、
耳に入れたことがない。
ふわっと風のように入って、
そして氷の張った湖面にすべり降りるような、
冬鳥のような美しさを感じる演奏。
それはクセのない、しかし主張がある、
確かな演奏だった。
このCDの選曲も、とても良いと思う。
録音がどうしても古いので、
若干、音が気になるが、
それでも、円熟期に入ったモニクアースの、
感性に浸るには十分だと思う。
個人的には「領分」の「羊飼い」が、
羊飼いの羊の呼ぶ角笛の部分の演奏や、
「ベスガマスク」の「月光」の、
アルペジオ演奏は、ほんとに真から素晴らしい。
飾り気のない演奏に、実に華があるいい演奏だと思う。

ドビュッシーのピアノCDを探していてこれを購入しました。
購入して良かったです。延々聴いてじっくり聴いて楽しんでいます。
アース・モニクのピアノ、結構好きですし、
これだけ曲が入ってこのお値段はお買い得だと思います。
ドビュッシー入門としても非常にいいCDだと思います。

中学時代、このLPレコードを購入、クラシックファンとなり、その後CDの時代になってからはドビュッシーを10枚くらい買ってきましたが、このモニク・アースの演奏が、いろいろな心の状態に広くフィットします。（イライラしているとき、疲れたとき、過去を振り返りたいとき、将来を考えたいとき...）

なかでも、「月の光」「夢」「アラベスク第１番」「亜麻色の髪の乙女」は、このCDの演奏が頭にこびりつき、街でBGMが流れた時、モニク・アースのものはすぐにわかるほどになりました。

過去、最も回数を多く聴いた演奏なので、当然、星５つです。
