夏休みコルシカ島でキャンプを楽しむローランとパスカル父子は、偶然にも米軍の空中爆撃機の爆発に居合わせる。キャンプから帰ってきたパスカルの体調は悪くなり、精密検査の結果、放射能による急性白血病と診断された。・・・「あと半年の命」と宣告されたローランやガールフレンドのカサリン、ローランの親友のベルダンは、何とかしてパスカルに事実を知らせまいと楽しく過ごすようにつとめる。あまりの無力さに打ちひしがれる大人たちと、淡々と自分の運命に真っ向から向かうパスカルの健気な姿に涙しました。楽しいクリスマスの準備、パスカルの純粋な笑顔が美しいだけに、いっそう哀しみがつのります。

昔　まだテレビで毎日洋画劇場があったころ
毎年に近いくらい　ＯＡされていました
（今で言う「蛍の墓」か？）
今風の　悲しけりゃいいんでしょ
的な話ではありません

当たり前ですが　ラストシーンは
印象深いものです
ＤＶＤ化を
希望します

クリスマスの映画というとこれを思い出す。
ウィリアム・ホールデンの苦渋に満ちた父親の姿が忘れられない。
パスカル少年はあどけなくかわいい子役だった。
命を限られた少年の痛ましさを少年の大きな瞳が存分に語っていてつらい。死をみすえながら、何よりも父親の幸せを祈ったパスカルに涙が止まらないだろう。
公開当時、見終わった人のほとんどが泣いていたことや、男の人が泣いて席を立てなかったことを思い出す。
狼の遠吠え、降りしきる雪、そしてクリスマスツリー。
泣ける要素がいっぱいあったのに、ひとつだけ。
ヴィルナ・リージが違和感あったな。
綺麗な女優さんだけど、なんだか雪の女王みたいで、今ひとつぬくもりにかけていたのがちょっと残念。
