~イーグルスやドゥービーブラザースの陰に隠れて、知る人ぞ知るという感じですが、名曲がたくさんあります。Dance With Me はＣＭに使われるほど有名な曲ですが、Let there be~~ musicも非常にすばらしい曲。昔、バンドやっていた人ならコピーしたくなる曲です。実はこの曲昔バンドをやっていた時の十八番の曲です。この曲を聴くとギターに手が伸びます。
オーリアンズは、コーラスのメロディーラインも独特で、かっこいいです。（昔コピーするのに苦労しました。）３ｒｄにもDance with meとLet there be~~ musicも入っていますが、別テイクなので聞き比べるのも良いです。~

Orleansの2nd albumです。Dance with me, Let there be musicは3rdにも入っており、洗練された都会的なサウンドになっていますが、こちらの方が数段ワイルドで臨場感あふれるすばらしいサウンドになっています。ドラム（特にスネア）の音が実にいい。ドラムの音が3rdと決定的に違うところでしょう。Let there be music や　The Breakdown のツインギターの絡みも荒削りで大好きです。私はリアルタイムのＬＰをよく聞きました。

1974年作品。Let There Be Musicの前の幻の２ｎｄです。東部ファンキー路線よりウッドストック方面へ、ジョン・セバスチャンとお知り合いになりましたといったようなとても暖かいサウンド。聴き終えた後気持ち良い気分が残ります。名作ばかりのバンドなのでもっと評価されても良いはず。ヒットしたバージョンとは違うオリジナル「ダンス・ウイズ・ミー」が聴けます。
