和楽器とオーボエのコラボレーションということですが、ポップなサウンドになっているのでとても聞きやすいです。オーボエの澄んだ音色と和楽器の独特の音色がうまく影響し合って、どの曲も心地よく、またワクワクするような感覚がありました。何度でも聞きたくなるCDだと思います。

ＮＨＫ連続テレビ小説「あすか」のテーマ曲「風笛」を担当された事でも有名なオーボエ奏者の宮本文昭氏のアルバムです。タイトルからも想像できますが、収録曲は日本をイメージして作られており、京都の街並みを想像させられます。オーボエと古典楽器が見事に融合されていて、哀愁の漂う楽曲でとても癒されます。オーボエってこんなにも素晴らしい音色なんだなーと驚きと発見がありました。

和楽器とのコラボと聞くと、何だか馴染めない印象が一番に来るかと思いますが、このアルバムは、和楽器や日本の伝統音楽に興味がなかったり、違和感を覚えるという方にも、すんなりと心に染み込み、日本人として生まれてきて良かった…としみじみと実感し、宮本氏の感性の研ぎ澄まされた素晴らしい演奏と共に違和感なく共演している和楽器にも親しみが出てきます。どの曲も、わびさびがあったり、切なさや子供の頃の懐かしさなどを存分に引き出してくれる演奏とアレンジになっていますよ。私にとって、このCDは一生の宝物です。毎日聞いても飽きが全く来ないんですよ。
