車椅子生活を送るヒロイン、杏子役に常盤貴子さん、カリスマ美容師
の柊二を演じる木村拓哉さんとのピュアなラブストーリー。
杏子は、健常者には身障者の気持ちは、絶対に理解出来ないと、心に氷の壁を作っていた。
しかし、彼のやさしさに触れ、段々と、心の壁は開かれていった。
やがて、本当の愛とやさしさに触れる。

木村さんの自然なやさしさがいっぱいの演技と、一生懸命に生きている
ヒロイン役の常盤さんの演技もすばらしかった。
最後に病気に倒れた彼女の死の床で、化粧を柊二がするシーンは、涙無しでは見られない。
本当の愛とやさしさを知れるドラマです。文句無く『５つ星』。

最初、このドラマの内容が車椅子の女性の恋と聞いた時は、正直に言って暗い話なのかなと思ってしまいました。でもこの話は全然違ったのです。車椅子で生活する杏子は前向きにとても明るく生きています。また、彼女を愛する柊二も彼女をまったく障害者扱いをせず、普通に接します。とても感動しました。

柊二の「心のバリアフリーになってやる」という台詞が印象的です。

　今までいっさい、テレビのドラマなど見なかった私、全く興味なかったのが・・・・・？
はまってしまいました、DVDまで買ってしまいました・・・・涙してしまいました・・・・・？何回も何回も見ましたが、どうしても最終回の死の場面だけは心が反応して見れません・・・・・・・・？

私の仕事はちなみに看護師（男）です。参考にならないかもしれませんが、とにかくはまってしまいました。
