誰が何と言おうとこれが平松愛理の代表作、永遠の名曲なのです！
他のレビューでは異色とのコメントが見られましたが、いえいえ、
この曲だってしっかりと｢毒｣が盛り込まれているでは有りませんか。

それこそが正に平松愛理の世界なのです。初めて聞いたときは
関白宣言の女性版と思われる本作は、数回聞いたら女性の洞察力と
計算高さがテーマ…？そして百回聞いても分からないものは分からない、
そういうとてつもなく奥の深い詩でもあります。

例えば歌詞で繰り返し使われるキーワードに｢右の眉｣があり、サビの部分で
　　♪もし私が先立てば　おれも死ぬといってね
　　♪私はその言葉を胸に　天国へと旅立つわ
　　♪あなたの右のまゆ　見届けたあとで
となっているのですが、これは
｢あなたの右の眉が上がっていない、嘘をついていないことを確認する｣なのか、
｢右の眉が上がっていても、嘘でもいいから『おれも死ぬ』と言ってほしい｣なのか、
十数年考えてもいまだに分かりません。

言い換えれば一瞬で売れて一瞬で飽きられるヒット曲ではなくて、本作のように
聞けば聞くほど味が出る、こういうのを真の名曲と言うのではないでしょうか。
この曲、たぶん22世紀まで歌い継がれることでしょう。

平松愛理の歌う非常に特徴的な歌

結婚前の女性の心境を歌った曲で
子守唄のようなリズムの中、独特な歌詞が流れる。
有名な曲だと思うので、どこかで聞いたことがある人も多いかもしれない。
BEST版にも収録されているので、是非試聴していただきたい。

カップリング曲はアルバム「とっておきの20秒」に収録されているGIRL FRIEND
こちらもかなりレベルが高いが、今、聞くとなると微妙なトコロ。
