ジャック・タチ、ユロおじさんシリーズ４部作のうちの１作。邦題は「ぼくのおじさんの交通大戦争」だったらしい（笑）。「ぼくのおじさん」の時もそう思ったけど、タチは本当に先見の明がすごい。’５０~’７０年代、１０~２０年後くらいのトピックをほぼ完璧に的中させている。あるいは、日本がそれだけフランスから遅れてるだけだったかもしれないけど・・・。とにかく、堂考えてもあの交通事故のシーンなんて現代そのもの。タチはクスクス笑いの天才だと言われてるけど、今回も「ぼくのおじさん」ほどではないがかなり笑える。

うーん、たまにはコメディーもいいなと感じた、普段、私はまったくこのジャンルは見ない。いつも重い映画のやるせないラストシーンばかり見ている私に、ちょっと違う風を入れてみようと手に取ってみたら意外といいじゃない。で、このレビューを思わず書いてしまった。この作品前作『プレイ・タイム』が興行的に失敗した後の作品であるらしく、監督もジャック・タチ本人ではなく、はじめは共同脚本と主演のユロ氏を演じるのみという条件で製作にとりかかったらしい。内容といえば、自動車メーカ《アルトラ社》の設計技師ユロ氏が、自分の設計したキャンピング・カーをアムステルダムのモーターショーに出品する間の珍道中である。これが爆笑ではなく、くすっとした笑いを誘う。出発して早々のいきなりのパンク、今度はガス欠、何の言われえもなく警察での事情聴取、などなど盛りだくさん、物語は淡々と進むが、昨今の大味なハリウッド映画ばかり見ている人などには意外とお勧めかも、また、アルトラ社の広報のマリアことマリア・キンバリーさん（この映画、ユロ氏以外役名と芸名が同じ）の色っぽい発音がとても印象的、トラック運転手を呼ぶ時の「マルセール」だったり、愛犬の「ピトーン」だったりと、タカビーなんだけど、どこか憎めなく、とってもコケテッィシュで、とにかくキュートである。洋服もセンスも抜群（終盤の古着っぽいジーンズなんて、かなりストライクである）。ネタばれになるからあまり書きませんが、チャプター11.の〔かわいそうなピトン〕がとてもお勧め。
劇中ではユロ氏（ジャック・タチ）、ほとんど会話はなく、性格まではしっかり描写されてませんが、パントマイム出身だけあって、控えめな『ミスター○ー○』といった感じ、そんな二人のラストの雨のシーン、ほのぼのとして、ほっとして、もちろん笑えて、なーんか嬉しくなりました。

皆さん紳士たる者、傘は常に携帯しときましょう（笑）

　面白いです！笑わせてもらいました。
ハリウッド映画などのどこで笑うんだ？という強迫的なものは一切無く、リラックスして楽しめます。
