   スピード狂のタクシードライバーのダニエルは、運転のできないマヌケ刑事エミリアンにスピード違反で捕まるが、違反を取り消してもらうかわりに、捜査に協力する約束をする。そして彼らはドイツの強盗団「メルセデス」を追うことに。
   改造しまくった「プジョー406」をかっ飛ばすダニエルを演じるサミー・ナセリはこの映画でスターに。彼とマヌケな刑事のオトボケコンビは大いに笑わせる。しかし、いちばんの見せ場は、やはり、カーアクションシーン。追いつ追われつの暴走シーンなどは250キロのスピードを感じさせる映像で圧巻。元レーサーで車のCFディレクター出身のジェラール・プレスならではの演出が冴える。フランス映画界でも娯楽性のある作品を作りつづけるリュック・ベッソンがプロデュース＆脚本をつとめた、大ヒットもうなづける、笑いとスリルたっぷりの痛快カーアクション映画だ。（斎藤 香）

フランス人、あるいはフランスという文化が、こんなにあっけらかんと痛快な面を持っていただなんて、この映画を観るまで想像だにしませんでした。軽快なテンポ、惜しみないアクション、観終わるといつも心は舞台である南仏マルセイユの空のようにスカーッ！とします。ハリウッド映画のようにアクションのためのアクションというのではなく、これは目的のある遊びのための、いわば大人のアクションです。その辺りはさすがフランス。気が滅入った時は『TAXI』を観て、ひたすら笑ってハラハラして、次の日にはもう元気です。

ピザ屋で働いていた青年が、念願 叶ってタクシーの運ちゃんへ。
しかし、その車、とんでもない改造車。
人が良くて、落ち零れ刑事には頼りにされ、事件に巻き込まれてしまうが、勝負には負けません！

フランス映画って、ひたすら景色が続いて静のイメージがあったけど、見事に払拭された。
独特の間だけれど、それがまた楽しい！

車好きの人は更に面白いだろう。

面白い！
フランス映画らしく、ディティールが凝っていて、ちょっとしたセリフや小道具、フランスジョークに笑ってしまいます。
物語自体は、スピード狂が車を改造して、タクシー業をやって巻き起こす事件の様を描いています。

ハリウッドに負けないで、こんなに面白い作品を作り出すフランス映画に乾杯！
