5.0 out of 5 stars ベームの名は、この演奏によって後世に残るでしょう, 2005/8/27
歌手はニルソン、ヴィントガッセンをはじめとして、伝説的なワーグナー歌手が結集。そしてベーム指揮のオーケストラがまたスゴイ。官能的に、とかそういうことを一切考えず、むしろオーケストラの音は硬め。金管は、ワーグナーにしては出番の少ない曲ですが、ここぞというところで思いっきり咆哮しています。最初聞いたときは、出しすぎではと思ったのですが、これに慣れてしまうと、他の演奏は軟弱で聞いてられません。録音も優秀。現代の録音と比べても、遜色ありません。昔から評価が高いのも納得。最近評価が揺らいでいるベームですが、このCDがある限り、21世紀にもその名は語り継がれるでしょう。

私はクライバーのトリスタンも愛聴しているが、どちらも甲乙つけがたい。
だが、迫力の面ではどちらを選ぶかと問われれば、やはりこちらに
軍配が上がるだろう。録音面では極めて良好。スタジオ録音でも
ここまでの完成度は難しい。バイロイトの奇蹟。
入門者も飽きずに聞くことができる。

いきなりクライバーやフルトヴェングラーを聞くとほかの演奏が聴けなくなると思いベーム盤を買ったのですが、大間違いでした。凄い迫力です。ベームはライブだという評判は間違いないと、確信させる名演奏です。
